Prior to moving to Independence, Pastor Kelly Nix and his wife, Valerie, served as missionaries to South America.
Before this they pastored and served in various ministerial positions in San Antonio, Texas. With over 25 years in the
ministry, Pastor Nix loves to teach and preach the Word of God. Besides serving as the pastor of Intercultural Christian Ministries,
he serves as Director of the Leadership Training Center, a conservative Apostolic Bible training program with students across
the United States, and is working with New Life Pentecostal Church of Olathe, Kansas, to establish a Spanish-language congregation. Pastor
Nix holds graduate degrees in Theology from Twin Cities University and an MBA from Western Governors University.

Assistant Pastor Ken Ellis served in the United States Marine Corps before God called him into the ministry. He is a
long-time resident of Independence. Besides serving as Assistant Pastor, he is a staff instructor
for the Leadership Training Center. Pastor Ellis is a talented teacher of the Word and holds a
Letter of Graduation in Ministry from the Leadership Training Center.
